Accountant vacancy in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Job Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Ensure accuracy and compliance with UAE accounting standards and regulations.
General Ledger Maintenance:
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
Post journal entries and manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Monitor and report on budget variances and financial performance.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
Process invoices, payments, and collections.
Tax Compliance:
Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and other tax laws.
Prepare and file tax returns.
Audit Preparation:
Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits.
Provide necessary documentation and support to auditors.
Financial Analysis:
Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making.
Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data.
Regulatory Compliance:
Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations.
Ensure the company’s financial practices adhere to regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA are preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE or the Middle East.
Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Language:
Proficiency in English is required.
Knowledge of Arabic can be an added advantage.
