The Bus Attendant is responsible for ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of passengers during their journey on the bus. They assist with boarding, provide information to passengers, enforce safety rules, and ensure the bus is clean and well-maintained. Key Responsibilities:
Passenger Assistance: Greet passengers as they board the bus, assist with seating, and help passengers with special needs, including elderly or disabled individuals.
Safety Monitoring: Ensure that all passengers are following safety protocols, including the use of seatbelts, and assist in enforcing rules such as no smoking, standing, or eating during the ride.
Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to any emergency situations that may arise, including providing first aid if needed or assisting with evacuation procedures.
Customer Service: Provide passengers with information about routes, stops, schedules, and local attractions. Address any passenger concerns or questions in a professional and friendly manner.
Maintaining Order: Monitor passenger behavior and ensure a calm and safe environment throughout the journey. Report any incidents, disruptions, or issues to the driver or supervisor.
Bus Cleanliness: Ensure the bus is clean and well-maintained, including checking that all seats, aisles, and facilities are in good condition before and after the journey.
Ticket Checking: In some cases, the bus attendant may assist the driver with checking tickets, passes, or other forms of identification to ensure only authorized passengers are on board.
Communication: Maintain clear communication with the driver regarding any passenger issues, delays, or road conditions. Ensure that information is passed on quickly and efficiently.
