Security Operations Officer vacancy in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
We are looking for a Security Operation Officer to perform the following rules:
1. Security Monitoring and Surveillance:
• Oversee and monitor security operations across airport facilities, including terminals, baggage handling areas, airfields, and restricted zones.
• Use CCTV systems, alarm monitoring equipment, and other surveillance tools to detect and respond to potential security breaches.
• Ensure all security systems, such as metal detectors, X-ray machines, and biometric scanners, are functioning properly.
2. Incident Response and Crisis Management:
• Serve as the first responder for security incidents, including passenger disputes, suspicious activities, and security breaches.
• Coordinate with internal security teams, airport police, and external law enforcement agencies during security emergencies.
• Execute emergency procedures, including evacuation, lockdowns, and response to bomb threats or terrorist activities, in line with airport security protocols.
3. Regulatory Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with aviation security regulations from authorities such as the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
• Regularly review security policies and procedures to ensure alignment with changing laws and airport standards.
• Conduct internal audits of security protocols and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
4. Passenger and Staff Screening:
• Supervise passenger and luggage screening operations to ensure compliance with security measures.
• Oversee security checks of airport personnel, contractors, and vehicles entering secure areas.
• Ensure all staff are adhering to identification badge procedures and that all restricted access areas are secured at all times.
5. Security Training and Awareness:
• Provide training and guidance to airport personnel and security staff on aviation security protocols, emergency procedures, and incident reporting.
• Conduct security briefings and drills for airport employees to ensure preparedness for various threat scenarios.
• Promote a culture of security awareness among passengers and staff by implementing educational programs and communication strategies.
6. Investigation and Reporting:
• Lead investigations into security breaches, thefts, or any other criminal activities at the airport.
• Maintain detailed incident reports and logs of security issues, including the actions taken and outcomes.
• Assist in preparing comprehensive security reports for senior management and relevant regulatory authorities.
7. Collaboration with Stakeholders:
• Work closely with airport management, airlines, ground handling staff, and external security services to coordinate security measures and responses.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, customs, and immigration authorities to facilitate security operations at the airport.
• Attend meetings with government officials and industry associations to stay updated on new security threats and best practices.
8. Access Control and Physical Security:
• Oversee access control systems, ensuring only authorized personnel have access to restricted areas.
• Regularly inspect physical security measures such as fences, barriers, and lighting systems to ensure the airport’s perimeter is secure.
• Manage key control systems and ensure compliance with protocols regarding sensitive areas such as cargo facilities, maintenance hangars, and control towers.
