Job Title: Logistics Co-ordinator

Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Logistics Coordinator to join our team. The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the logistics of our transportation operations, including scheduling shipments, managing inventory, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a commitment to meeting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and schedule shipments of goods, ensuring timely delivery to customers and distribution centers
Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, and other third-party logistics providers to arrange transportation and track shipments
Manage inventory levels and ensure accuracy in inventory records, conducting regular audits and reconciliations as needed
Monitor shipment status and track delivery progress using transportation management systems (TMS) or other tracking tools
Resolve any issues or delays in transportation, including rerouting shipments or expediting deliveries as necessary
Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, warehouse, and customer service, to coordinate logistics and meet customer requirements
Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading, shipping labels, and customs documentation, ensuring compliance with regulations
Analyze transportation data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities
Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including tracking information, shipping documents, and freight costs

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred
Previous experience in logistics coordination or a related role preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal teams and external partners
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with experience using transportation management systems (TMS) or similar software
Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements, including customs regulations and international shipping procedures
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to resolve issues and make decisions under pressure
Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
