Description

The Construction Foreman oversees and coordinates the work of construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications. This role involves a combination of hands-on work, management, and administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Supervision and Coordination:
Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
Coordinate and supervise the work of construction workers and subcontractors.
Ensure that all work is performed safely, on time, and within budget.
Planning and Scheduling:

Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones.
Determine labor requirements and allocate responsibilities to construction workers.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
Quality Control:

Ensure that all construction work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and standards.
Identify and resolve any issues or defects in the construction process.
Safety Management:
Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures on the construction site.
Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions for workers.
Ensure that all workers are wearing appropriate safety gear and following safety guidelines.
Resource Management:

Manage and supervise the use of construction equipment and materials.
Order and manage materials and supplies needed for the project.

Communication:

Qualifications:
Education:

Experience:

In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines.
Skills:

Strong leadership and management skills.

Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency in using construction management software and tools.
Certifications:
Certification in first aid and CPR.
