Description

Responsibilities:

Greet customers and assist them with their purchases in a friendly and courteous manner.
Scan and ring up items, process payments, and issue receipts using cash registers or point-of-sale (POS) systems.
Handle cash, credit card, and other forms of payment accurately and securely.
Count cash in the register at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure accurate totals.
Answer customer questions and provide information about products, promotions, and store policies.
Follow cash handling procedures and comply with company policies and regulations.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role preferred.
Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with cash registers or POS systems.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
